You can if you have the LiftMaster® Internet Gateway accessory and one of the four new MyQ®-enabled garage door openers – model 8550 and 8360 with Battery Backup, model 8500 Wall Mount Garage Door Opener, or model 8355 Belt Drive. Built-in revolutionary MyQ® technology has the ability to communicate, manage and activate other MyQ®-enabled devices in the home. This gives you greater control and security – you can open or close the garage door or turn on or off lights using your smartphone, tablet or computer – from anywhere, any time.
How It Works
The LiftMaster® Internet Gateway (model 828LM) works with garage door opener model 8550, 8360, 8500 and 8355. Using your Internet-enabled smartphone, tablet or computer to connect remotely to the LiftMaster® Internet Gateway. The Gateway then communicates with the garage door opener or gate operator to open or close, or communicates to home lights to turn them on or off.
